The hotel is in a convenient location, close to restaurants and up to where the Portsmouth ferries are. the rooms are modern and spotlessly clean, with comfy beds. the staff are friendly and helpful, providing suggestions for places to eat and giving directions. Breakfast at the nearby pub is excellent. the hotel offers limited undercover parking, which can be a plus.
The smell of sewage in the Brewers Fayre restaurant was off-putting.

Our favorite hotel in Portsmouth, staff was welcoming! One of the dining options, Coffee Cup Clarence Pier was 5 mins walk away.

I was made very welcome by Mina and her family - absolutely charming people. The room was very clean and comfortable. The furniture is basic but spotless. I had wi-fi access and the tv, tea/coffee facilities - it was really good. The bed was comfortable and there were extra blankets. Breakfast was good and plenty, again, everywhere was spotlessly clean and fresh. I would happily stay here again and bring my family. Thank-you Mina.

I had a really great stay at this hotel. The owners, Martin and Mina, were so lovely and helpful. They made me feel welcome right away, explaining everything I needed to know. The double room with ensuite was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. It even had a sink and free Wi-Fi. The location was excellent, just a short walk from the train station and the South Coast. There were plenty of eating and drinking places nearby. It was also nice to see that the prices weren't raised for visitors to the America's Cup event.
Everything was fantastic.

Staff were friendly and ok.
Too expensive and didnt like the extra £20 being added because of a booking issue.

The hotel had a great location, being close to popular attractions and within walking distance to the waterfront. Free parking was also a bonus, as it helped us save on expensive city parking. the staff were friendly and accommodating, providing us with helpful information during our stay.
The hotel itself was in need of refurbishment and looked quite run-down. The rooms were very basic and lacked amenities such as tea and coffee facilities.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Southsea Lodge, the couple that own the BnB were absolutely lovely and we could not have asked for a better service or stay. The BnB was located in central southsea and within walking distance to many if not all of Portsmouth amenities, however if you require a taxi the rates are very good from the company the hotel recommend. Would definitely visit again.

The hotel is located close to the seafront and has spacious rooms with great views. the staff are welcoming and friendly. the beds are comfortable and the room is clean. the hotel also provides free breakfast, which is a huge plus.
The parking situation could be better. There are not enough spaces available and it was difficult to find a spot nearby.

Southsea lodge was very welcoming with a very warm and friendly owner, the bedroom was large and very clean and comfortable the bathroom was very large .
It got a little chilly in the evening and the bathroom was to cold for a shower for the kids, but the youngest one did manage to have a bath. Parking is a bit hard but we did get a parking space up the next road.
